How to increase your confidence & credibility

The problem we generally face is we lack confidence to talk to more successful people. We think we lack credibility to talk to them.Just because you are not well educated as your peers are, doesn’t mean that you can’t approach them.

When I started in this industry, I literally had no confidence , although I had very little credibility.

How can someone decide that you have credibility or not?

There is no credibility switch inside your head which can be flipped by somebody.

Nobody can make you feel mad or angry or guilty or not credible – you are the master of your own destiny even if someone says it to you.

It’s all inside your head.

People go to college so they can be more knowledgeable on a subject so they can get better results.Results matter always. In Network Marketing it doesn’t matter, if you are comparing successful in network marketing to college degree, you are highly mistaken.

How to increase credibility

The only way to get credibility is to get results. You should not really care about what others say or what you say to yourself.

Always remember : The best revenge is massive success.

  1. Talk to people anyways. Increase your communication skills.
  2. Be trustworthy.
  3. Do what you will say you will do.
  4. Increase your knowledge ( about the industry/products)
  5. Be genuinely interested in people.

If you sense someone isn’t giving you any credibility, move on and do not allow them to weaken your self image. If your prospect needs credibility in order to listen to you, then you can contact them after you’ve gotten results or you can use your successful upline as a credibility booster.

A person who is unable to evaluate a business has to judge the business based on their perception of the credibility of the person presenting it. Those who can not evaluate a business based on its merits will work for those who can or miss out on a lot of money.

Free places to find prospects

When you get this question” Where do I find prospects without spending a dime?”
So today I’m going to share places to find real prospects for your business. I hope this helps you get some new ideas of generating leads.

Facebook – You can search Facebook for groups focused on everything from nutrition to holiday vacations to financial planners to telecommunication service. The rule here is to be in the group as a member of the community first and a network marketer second. You must make real connections and be interested in people before inviting. Always try to build relationship first then pitch your business. If you try to  spam everybody with your link, you will be thrown out of the group and facebook will ban you for spamming people.

LinkedIn – Similar to Facebook, you may find groups focused on a topic related to your business – such as entrepreneurs. Get involved in the group first and then start to make connections. Build rapport and a relationship. Don’t send blind InMails (LinkedIn’s messaging system) or ask people to join your network without getting to know something about them first. Also, always look for a shared connection. LinkedIn has some great tools for getting introduced and networking. When you are in group, always try to focus on delivering focus on creating value in that group by sharing relevant posts, if you do that on consistent basis, you will automatically attract people who will ask you to join your network.

Twitter – If you look beyond the self-promotion and use Twitter in the interest of helping others,you may find some quality prospects. Getting to know the search features of Twitter can help you find opportunities to help people and make connections.

Online forums – Forums or online communities can help you make real connections with people. As with the sources above, you should focus on getting to know people in the community and make a valuable contribution to the group/forum. Answer questions, offer value and be there for the interest first, invite second.

 

 

Online/offline networking – Meetup.com is a great place for finding people and groups with similar interest to network
with. The good thing about Meetup is that you can research group members online first and then connect on mutual interests offline. Again, the key here is to contribute value to the group first and get to know your fellow group members as people. Inviting comes after you build a relationship. Coolest places to find prospects

Many people after having done with their warm market actually hit the wall. They don’t seem to know anyone else to tell them about your business. Today I am going to talk about some really cool places where you can easily find quality prospects.

 

Place no. 1 : Gym

 

Why to find prospects at the gym?

Because motivated people go to the gym and you’re looking for motivated people.
People with goals spend time in the gym. If you’re looking for business prospects, you’re looking for goal-oriented people. This is a good place to start.

Place no. 2 : Classes

 

You can search in your local area and find free classes, networking events and other events of interest. If you’re looking for business contacts or people with similar interests as your product line, this could be a good way to research new places to find contacts.

Place no. 3 : Join a Book club

 

Book clubs can be a great place to find new friends and build relationships. You can also get to know people on a more than social level as you learn more about their motivations and ideas behind the themes of books. This is a great way for an introverted person to get “out there” and meet new people.

Place no.4: Join a Social group

Don’t go with your same group of friends every time.You can build relationships and rapport with people of similar interests and
have fun doing it.

 

Place no. 5 : Attend meetup events

How to master “what do you do?”

So if someone asks you “what do you do?”

Some of you when faced with this question try to hide behind the bush, so next time when you go out prospecting master this question.

Don’t get baffled.

Always give benefit driven answer. Don’t try to put your opportunity under their throat. Prepare elevator speech.

Elevator speech is something you say to someone in not more than 30 seconds to raise his/her curiosity.

So next time, when someone asks you for more information after your elevator speech , don’t try to explain whole business then and there.

This is important time to collect his or her business card & follow up with them.

Nobody likes to be pitched on first visit.

Imagine yourself in prospect’s shoes, if someone tries to throw his/her business upon you , how will you react. You will obviously become defensive.

You have to deliver elevator speech & then show him/her that you are in a hurry.

Trying to pitch on first visit has never worked and will never going to work.

So next time, keep this mind. When somebody asks you “what do you do?’ Follow above mentioned procedure.

Why your prospects won’t show up?

Have you ever faced with this problem?

You have prospected them well, you have identified their true wants and desires, they are open to network marketing industry.

And something goes wrong, they cancel their follow up appointments. They stop picking up your phone. They suddenly become defensive.

You try to get in touch with the prospects but to no avail.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There are three things going on there. Your actions, their actions & unexpressed objections.

 

You have to ask yourself these questions.

  1. Are you just scratching surface or going deeper into their needs?
  2. Are you meeting/calling prospects at inconvenient time?
  3. Have they understood your business model or products & services you are offering?
  4. Are they really comfortable to the network marketing industry?

OR

Maybe it’s not the right time for your prospects.

You showed them great opportunity, you showed them how they can fulfill their dreams.

But sometimes prospects are not really honest with you or aren’t serious.

If you sense something like this, put the ball in their court.

Or you can tell them this is not the right time for them

.

I know there were so many people I introduced my network marketing business to, when I started but they had different plans in their mind but 6 months/12 months down the line they joined me.

To be honest, when I was shown Network Marketing Business, I didn’t join for 12 months but my friend followed up with me & eventually I  joined the business when the time was right.

It’s just a matter of time.
