Learn how to employ yourself ?

Most of us have learned how to be employed by others. We do what we’re told. We show up on time or there is a consequence. We take our breaks when expected or there is a consequence. We learn a skill and then repeat that skill or there is a consequence.

We create a positive result for our employer or there is a consequence.It’s safe. It’s comfortable. You don’t have to think too hard. You’re given the rules and you just follow them. You might strive to do better than most, but you’re still fitting in and doing what is expected because you know there will be consequences if you don’t.

In Network Marketing where are the consequences for showing up late or not at all? Where are the consequences for lack of focus or hard work? In our profession, no one is going to show up and make you do what you’re capable of doing. That responsibility now lies with you.

For most people, employing themselves is a foreign concept. They seem to think, “I’m working for myself so I can just do whatever I feel like doing!” They forget that lifestyle comes after work, not before.

Here’s some of the best advice you can follow…..

Treat your business like a JOB until it’s paying you enough to think of it as a business.

  • You’ll show up for your job even if you don’t feel like it. Most in MLM won’t.
  • You’ll show up for your job if you have a head cold. Most in MLM won’t.
  • You’ll show up for your job if your kids or family members have a crisis. Most in MLM won’t.
  • If you want to personally develop yourself in your job, you do it when you’re off the clock. Most in MLM count personal development as the majority of their work time.

In a job you have certain hours, you have expectations, you have value to deliver. If you don’t you get fired.

In Network Marketing, you have to learn how to employ yourself. You have to truly be your own boss. When most people in MLM say, “I’m my own boss” what they’re really saying is I don’t have to work. If you were really your own boss, most of you would have fired yourself a long time ago.

Here is a reality check

How much would you pay you, for the work you’ve done in the past 7 days?

If the answer is “Not much” then you have something to think about.

Learn how to employ yourself.

Be your own boss. Treat Network Marketing as a job until it pays you enough to consider it a lifestyle business.

It will change your life.

I need to put this post on urgent basis today.

I generally meet new people on a daily basis. When they know I am doing Network Marketing , they look down upon me not because I try to recruit them on the spot but because they have bad perception about this industry. This bad impression is not created because of Network Marketing Industry but because of people who are doing Network Marketing the wrong way.

There are so many people who are untrained or not willing to learn, they start to use their own techniques. They mug the scripts and act like telemarketers or they come up with their own methods and they bombard their prospects with their crap and they destroy relationships.

Now you will know, why people hate Network Marketing

The very things which pisses me off are

  1. When people try to recruit someone on the spot
  2. When people send unsolicited links to someone
  3. When they never ask openness of a person and try to close uninterested person
  4. When people lead with hype
  5. When people try to force opportunity on someone without building relationship

If you are prospecting someone, before inviting him/her to see presentation, check whether they are open.

Follow up with people on regular basis.

I know, Network Marketing is a no. game but that doesn’t mean you start destroying your relationships with people by coming across as a sleazy sales person trying to close each and everyone.

If you are in Network Marketing, you constantly need to talk to new people on a daily basis.

If you find yourself attracting people who you think are not right for your business and if it’s happening constantly. You seriously need to consider your mindset and self-image first. Because people generally attract those people who are having same or lower self image and self-esteem.

If whatever you want seems too far from your reality, then you have mindset problem.

If you are near to your perceived reality, you have skillset problem.

If your prospects constantly say ” They don’t have money. They are broke.

This is the thing you need to understand that you are attracting people who you are inside.

What is the main reason for attracting wussies mechanism ?

Before going into this, ask yourself these questions.

  1. Are you negative on Social Media ?
  2. Do you always whine, bitch and complain ?
  3. Do you take responsibility for your actions ?
  4. Do you have your self-image at right place ?
  5. Are you an approval seeker ?
  6. Do you surround yourself with positive people ?
  7. Do you keep ego ahead of your learning new things ?
  8. Do you read/listen/watch self-development materials everyday?
  9. Do you have your morning rituals ?

Try to find out answers for yourself.

If you are finding it difficult to accept certain facts, you must have understood why you are attracting wussies.

Consider these steps

  • Don’t whine, bitch, complain or gossip.
  • Take 100 % responsibility for your actions.
  • Surround yourself with success models, eliminate failure models.
  • Have a morning ritual every single day.

If you are a network marketer and you are prospecting your warm market, then most probably you are facing the issue of maintaining positive attitude when the rest of the people are not positive around you. Even at some point of time, you may feel that you shouldn’t have prospected your warm market which is absolutely necessary.

Why you need to spend more to earn more ?

Spend more to earn more

It looks like a counter-intuitive advice.

Probably you are hearing it for the first time or you may have heard it before.

But what it has to do with Network Marketers ?

But this is true whether you believe it or not.

Is there any logical answer to it?

Most probably not.

You can’t have logical argument to support this statement but you can always experience it.

But some people tend to take wrong meaning from this.

It’s not advising you to spend till you get broke.

It just emphasizes on the law of reciprocation which says “As you sow, so shall you reap.

So some serious thinker may ask….

But tell me,how can spending more money can give me more money?

Before going into more details let’s talk about common man’s mediocre mindset first.

Since our childhood, our brain is wired to think in a certain way, so when someone tries to challenge our basic beliefs, we tend to justify our hardwired beliefs by denying the reality.
I am sure most of the people are raised with the mentality that “ It’s good to save money“. Nobody has told us “It’s better to earn more than saving pennies

The problem arises because nobody has told us right things.

But think about it for a moment.

Are we really comfortable to spend more money if you have it ?

Most probably , the answer is “NO

But logically, it should be “YES” but it’s not because logic doesn’t work everywhere.

We can have a healthy debate on this but we can just take two examples to prove my point.

If you are traveling on the road and suddenly you see “Red Hot Ferrari” , which thought comes to your mind at that moment? “I can’t afford this” “It’s not for me” ” The owner doesn’t seem like a smart guy, how can he afford it ?

If we hate rich people, we will seldom allow ourselves to become rich.

All such thoughts create resistance in our minds about the money which is stopping us from spending more money.

How many people are comfortable to even go to 5/7 star restaurant for dining ? I am not talking about dinners sponsored by company. I am talking about spending from your pocket. Most people are not.

Why?

They think buying Ferrari or buying dinner from 5/7 star restaurant is not worth.

Really?

When people don’t have money, they use this secret excuse—“It’s not worth the money“.

This is the secret excuse of failure.

Next time when you are stuck in such situation ask yourself :Are you really worthy of that money?
If “YES” comes from your heart , you will not feel any resistance but if your logical brain starts rationalizing on how “NO” is justified, you will start coming with all the excuses.

If you don’t feel you deserve something and if you get that, your body & mind will find out ways to get the rid of that stuff. That’s the reason, people who win lottery go broke 5 years later.

Many a times, Money doesn’t come or doesn’t last long just because the person owns it doesn’t know what to do with that money.

  1. If you want to gauge your thoughts about the money ask yourself these hard questions ?
  2. Have you purchased something costly from a shopping mall without looking at the price tag?
  3. When was the last time you didn’t look at the word “discount” “sale”?
  4. When was the last time you didn’t bargain for the price? (now don’t say I did it at fixed price shop)

I am not saying you should not see the price tag or you should not buy from supermarket but you shouldn’t be comfortable with that.

I have interacted & lived with many people like that, who were earning huge chunks of money from their businesses and jobs. All these wealthy and successful people, had this common habit, they didn’t mind spending whenever there was a need.They were comfortable in spending.They never looked at price tag and I think that was the sole reason they were attracting more and more money.

 

You may know many people who don’t like spending even if they have a lot of money. They will most probably not attract money to their full potential just because of the same reason.

Most people are lottery mentality that’s the reason they are getting broke or remain broke.

Everything in this universe is governed by laws and even money obeys these laws that’s same reason when you spend more, you get even more.
